Question by Betty R: My electric baseboard heater is emitting a “burned plastic” smell—I have checked the obvious????
no plastic soldiers anywhere in the unit?????

It’s the wiring someplace further down the line or back in the wall being overheated by the power through the line. There’s danger of fire. Have an electrician check it.
