I switched the thermostat completely it never changes. Now i have turned the breaker off. Please tell me why this is happening and what should I do. Thanks for your help,schafee

It’s been listening to too much rap music. Take the baggie of weed away from it and it will stop “going high.” I’m just kidding, the thing is just broken. It’s probably an internal short but finding it and fixing it would waste more time than it’s worth compared to just buying a new one. They aren’t very expensive and they are easy to change out. A few screws, a few wire nuts and away you go! If you need help on the installation, post another question.

    you obviously did not turn off the right breaker!

    could be a bad thermostat.
    but turning the breaker off will definitely stop it.
    of coarse you must turn off the breaker that controls that circuit.
    Call for professional help!
